Privacy
Primal Idle is a browser and desktop idle game. This page says, in plain words, what the game stores about you, where it lives, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies anywhere in the game or on this site.
Playing without an account
You can play the web game and the desktop game entirely on your own device. Your save then lives in your browser's storage (web) or in the game's data folder on your computer (desktop). Nothing about that play reaches us.
If you create a cloud account
A cloud account exists so your save can follow you between devices. For it we keep:
- your email address and a hashed password (we never store the password itself);
- your cloud save — your game state — plus up to thirty older checkpoints of it, so a bad sync or a mistaken reset can be undone;
- sign-in tokens (random secrets, stored hashed) so you stay signed in for up to 90 days;
- if you sign in through Steam, your public Steam ID and the link between it and your account. Steam (Valve) verifies that sign-in on its side; we do not see your Steam password or payment details.
We do not buy, sell or share this data with anyone.
The Valley (leaderboards, Alliances, the weekly Tyrant, Rival Camps)
The Valley is opt-in. If you claim a display name we also keep:
- your display name and the title you chose to show — the only things other players ever see;
- the stats the boards rank (levels, experience, amber earned and the like), read from the cloud save you already push;
- your Alliance membership, the canned campfire messages you send (no free text exists), your Tyrant strikes and your raid log;
- a short note when the anti-cheat check delists a save, so a person can review it.
Your email is never shown to other players and never leaves the server.
Short-lived records
- Rate limiting: your IP address and a timestamp are kept for a short while when you sign in, register, ask for a password reset or send feedback, purely to slow down abuse.
- Password resets: a six-digit code, stored hashed, that expires after fifteen minutes.
Sending feedback
The in-game Send feedback form emails your message and your email address to the team's inbox (hello@replyallgames.com). If you tick Attach my current save, your exported save goes with it. That mail is read by people, not machines, and is kept only as long as it takes to act on it.
Where it lives
Everything above is stored on the servers that run primalidle.com, operated for us by our hosting provider. Email leaves through our mail provider. If you play through Steam, Valve's own privacy policy covers what Steam itself collects about you.
Your choices
- Export your save at any time from Settings; it is yours.
- Leave the Valley: you can leave an Alliance in-game at any time. To come off the boards entirely, email the address below and we remove your display name, stats and raid history.
- Delete your account: email hello@replyallgames.com from the address on the account and we will erase it — the account row, every cloud save and checkpoint, the Steam link, the Valley profile and its history. An in-app delete button is planned; until it ships, this is done by hand and we will confirm when it is done.
- Ask what we hold about you at the same address.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the in-game changelog says so.
